Biu VPN Privacy Policy
This policy applies to Biu VPN and related services provided by ByteInit LLC. It explains what information the Service uses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Important: Biu VPN is a VPN client. We do not send browsing content, messages, files, photos, or videos to our analytics or advertising systems, and we do not use browsing content to build advertising profiles.
1. Information We Use
Service information
- Device and app information, such as Android device identifiers, app version, device model, operating system version, language, and region.
- Service and entitlement data, such as registration country, invite information, reward status, remaining access time, VIP status, and subscription expiry.
- VPN configuration data received from the Service, including servers, ports, protocols, and routing preferences.
- Operational data, such as connection state, selected node, latency checks, network state, categorized errors, and synchronization status.
Payments, advertising, diagnostics, and notifications
- Google Play processes subscription purchases. We receive product, transaction, subscription state, and entitlement results, but not your payment card number.
- Free users may receive ads or rewarded ads. Google Mobile Ads/AdMob may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, approximate location, ad requests, and ad interactions under Google's policies and your device choices.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may receive app events, crash reports, and basic device or app diagnostics.
- When notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a push token and delivery information.
VIP users are not shown in-app ads while their subscription is active.
2. VPN Traffic
Android's VpnService and the selected VPN gateway process network traffic so that the connection can work. The VPN gateway may necessarily process connection metadata while routing traffic. Availability and data handling may differ by server provider and location.
3. How We Use Information
- Establish VPN connections and synchronize nodes and configurations.
- Recognize a device or service account and provide rewards, invitations, and subscription entitlements.
- Process Google Play purchases and restore access.
- Display, measure, and control advertising for eligible users.
- Diagnose crashes, connection failures, abuse, and compatibility problems.
- Comply with law and protect the Service, users, and our rights.
4. Permissions
- INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: VPN connections, service requests, synchronization, and network checks.
- BIND_VPN_SERVICE: The Android VPN service.
- Foreground-service permissions: Keeping an active VPN connection running and showing its required notification.
- Notification permission: Connection status and optional notifications where Android requires consent.
Biu VPN does not require camera access and does not provide QR-code scanning.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service may use Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads/AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Google Play services such as install attribution. These providers process information under their own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
- VPN configurations and some runtime state are stored locally until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall Biu VPN.
- Account, reward, node, subscription, and operational records may be processed on ByteInit or provider systems as needed to provide the Service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
- You can manage local data, notifications, and advertising choices through the app, Android settings, or Google settings.
- To request access, correction, or deletion of information controlled by us, contact us below. We may verify the request and retain limited information where legally required.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children where prohibited by applicable law. If parental consent is required, use the Service only with that consent and guidance.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the Service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published at this policy URL.
